Thursday's Talons: Lady of the Lake Stamped NOTD

Currently watching: Have I Got News For You

Good morning girls,

Today I have a manicure featuring the stunning a-England Lady of the Lake to show you.

This polish is a deep purple holo which looks beautiful even when the holo effect isn't on show (which is fortunate as the sun wasn't out when I took these photos).

I decided to incorporate a slightly wintery Fair Isle look into this manicure so I stamped a star design from Bundle Monster plate BM 206 multiple times across the middle of each nail with Barry M Silver Foil.  Some nails were stamped more successfully than others ;-)

I then added two rows of dots with a dotting tool and Barry M Silver Foil.

Do you like this look girls?

Laura

Tuesday's Talons: Time For Mystic Romance NOTD

Currently reading: Remember Me by Melvyn Bragg

Good morning dear readers,

A very simple manicure today featuring a combination which worked beautifully:

This is Essence Time For Romance layered over Models Own Mystic Mauve.  I think I may try it as a gradient next time as I think it could be a great look for winter.

Sunday's Stamping: Oriental Butterflies NOTD

Currently watching: The X Factor

Good afternoon ladies,

Today I have another butterfly manicure to show you, this time with a bit of an oriental twist.

I started with Barry M Gold Foil as my base but it was a bit harsh for my skin so I layered a coat of Beauty UK Topaz over it.  Then I used MUA Shade 2 to stamp black lines with Bundle Monster plate BM 316.  Finally, I stamped Konad m36 butterflies using a red polish and acrylic paint.

Tuesday's Talons: Elizabeth's Butterflies NOTD

Currently watching: Strictly It Takes Two

Good evening ladies,

As I'm sure all of you reading in the UK will be aware, Glamour recently offered a free Nails Inc nail polish with the latest magazine.  I chose Elizabeth Street, a pale pink which you can see below:

For this manicure I stamped a pattern of inter-crossing silver lines using Barry M Silver Foil and a Bundle Monster plate.

I then stamped lots of colourful butterflies using Konad image plate m36 and a variety of polishes by Nails Inc and Barry M.

What do you think of this girly design?

Saturday's Sophisticated NOTD

Currently watching: Young Apprentice

Hi girls,

I'm starting the weekend with a simple yet sophisticated manicure, which I hope you all like.

This is Saffron London shade 62 as the base finished with Saffron London 9 on the tips.

A beautiful combination of two polishes made for each other.

What do you think? Do you own any Saffron London polishes?

Thursday's Talons: Dotty Topaz NOTD

Currently reading: Remember Me by Melvyn Bragg

Good morning lovely ladies,

Today I have a very simple manicure to show you but it's a design that's new to me.

I used Beauty UK Topaz as my base and then with a dotting tool added different sizes of dots in Accessorize Storm and (I think) Yesensy 32.

Monday's Manicure: Classy Polka Dot NOTD

Currently watching: Have I Got News For You

Good morning dear readers,

I'd like to start the week with a classy polka dot manicure inspired by Nail Stories:

I used two coats of All About Nails Caribbean Coconut as my base then free handed the tips with Nails Inc Victoria.

I added the polka dots with a dotting tool and, for the finishing touch, used a striper to add a line of silver glitter along the tips.

Saturday's Party Princess NOTD

Currently watching: Young Apprentice

Hello dear readers,

Today I have a simple manicure to show you which I wore when I didn't have time to stamp but didn't want plain nails.

I used Essence Cherry Juice as a base, which I must remember to only use for stamping in the future as it is a nightmare to remove.

I then layered a coat of Essence Party Princess on top for some sparkle.

Thursday's Talons: Purple Holo Butterflies NOTD

Currently listening to: Candy by Robbie Williams

Good morning girls!

Today I'd like to show you one of my favourite manicures, inspired by Theo over at Red Hair and Black Nail Polish.

I used Milani Hi-Res to achieve a rainbow on each nail ;-)

For my accent nail I used Barry M Prickly Pear for the base and stamped using Konad image plate m36 and a-England Lady of the Lake.  I then filled in the butterfly wings using Hi-Res.

I had intended to stamp using Hi-Res but it didn't show up well which is why I resorted to Lady of the Lake although I absolutely love the end result.

What do you think girls?  Who has inspired you recently?

Bye for now,
Laura

Monday's Manicure: Fireworks NOTD

Currently watching: Boardwalk Empire

Good afternoon lovely ladies,

In recognition of today's date (ie Guy Fawkes Day/Bonfire Day in Great Britain) and the fact that tonight the skies will be illuminated by thousands of fireworks, I thought I'd do a fireworks manicure.

I started with two coats of MUA Shade 2 and stamped using Barry M Gold Foil and Bundle Monster plate BM21.  I love the look of black nails but you'll rarely see them on me as I hate the removal process.

I then added pink dots using a dotting tool and Accessorize Pink Spice and filled in the stars with Milani Hi-Res.

Sunday's Sparkles: Hot Hugs NOTD

Currently watching: Strictly Come Dancing

Hi girls,

Last weekend my friend gave me two polishes from Models Own new Mirrorball Collection.  I painted my nails on the Sunday evening so although I was excited to try them over black for maximum impact, I didn't think that would go down well at work.  Instead, I teamed Hot Stuff with a pink Essence polish, Free Hugs.

Hot Stuff is a clear base packed full of pink glitter and pink, gold and silver foil pieces.

I had a little trouble getting an even distribution of foil pieces on each nail but it didn't bother me.

Every time I looked down at my nails while wearing this manicure I felt like I was looking at lots of tiny foil sweet wrappers :-)

What do you think girls?  Do you have any of the Mirrorball Collection?

Bye for now,
Laura

Thursday's Talons: Spice Storm NOTD

Currently watching: Strictly Come Dancing

Good morning dear readers,

Today I have what will probably be the last of my autumn leaves manicures to show you.

This one features Accessorize Storm as the base.

I then sponged on Accessorize Pink Spice.

My final step was to stamp golden leaves using Barry M Gold Foil and Bundle Monster plate BM 04.

What do you think?

Bye for now,
Laura
